OUTlander 2013 Spring Music Festival: Kick Off Showcase

The OUTlander 2013 Spring Music Festival is a multimedia festival that will be held in Austin, Texas from March 08-16, 2013, during the 2013 South By Southwest Festival. In addition to interactive and film components, OUTlander will be the largest gathering of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) music artists in Texas performing over 5 days right in the heart of one of the iconic events of the music industry. The event will showcase several regional and national acts along with several well-known local acts.
The OUTlander Project kicks off the music festival with a showcase on TUESDAY, March 12, 2013 at RUSTY'S at 405 East 7th Street in the heart of downtown Austin featuring more than a dozen LGBTQ and allied artists on two stages giving attendees a preview of the week ahead and a chance for Interactive and Film attendees to take in some live music before heading out.

VIP tickets are available and feature access to the VIP lounge, with their own bathrooms, food, a separate bar, a complimentary drink and a chance to hang out with the artists themselves. VIP tickets are $25 if purchased in advance, online before 12 NOON on Monday, 03/11/2013. VIP tickets will be $40 at the door on the day of the event.
General admission tickets are $8 if purchased in advance, online before 12 NOON on Monday, 03/11/2013. General admission tickets will be $15 at the door on the day of the event.
The festival continues on WEDNESDAY, 03/13/2013 over on 4th Street in Austin's Warehouse District at OILCAN HARRY'S at 211 West 4th Street with 4 days of live music featuring 40+ LGBTQ and allied artists from across the country and around the world. The showcases on WEDNESDAY-SUNDAY are FREE and open to the public (18 years or older).
